If fitting this to an iMac the board part number is 820-2828-A for 27" and 820-3126-A or 820-2641-A for 21.5" iMacs both Mid-2011. Even if your system took the i5 this i7 can be used as an upgrade as long as Logic board number is identical. Apple P/n 661-5949 or 661-5950 (for 27 inch system). This CPU can also be used in Mid-2011 smaller 21.5" iMac A1311 and any Motherboard that takes LGA1155 thats compatible with i7-2600S processor.
